How much can you learn before a prospective juror ever answers a question?
In this interactive Trial Lab, members will examine four mock prospective jurors and discuss how initial observations may influence trial strategy, voir dire preparation, and follow-up questioning.
Participants will begin by reviewing each individual's photograph and limited background information before engaging in a guided discussion about first impressions and potential areas to explore during jury selection.
As the session progresses, additional communication insights and facial mapping observations will be introduced, allowing members to reconsider their initial assessments and discuss how new information might shape their approach.
The goal is not to reach definitive conclusions about any individual, but to strengthen observational skills, encourage thoughtful analysis, and explore how multiple sources of information can inform courtroom strategy.
